Retaining our existing managers and developing our future management teams remains a priority for us, as we look at ways to grow and sustain our business, whilst continuing to provide exceptional guest experience.
We want to offer the opportunity to all our team members to develop, regardless of educational history or any other barriers that can be encountered through alternative development paths. To respond to industry challenges, we will ensure our development pathways deliver quality learning but allow progression to be as speedy as possible.
We have therefore chosen two routes where our team members can pursue a career with us, either through our internal development programmes, Supervisor to Assistant Manager and Chef Development Programme, or through an apprenticeship.
We have joined forces with HIT training, our preferred partner for apprenticeship training. Our General Managers, Head Chefs and Heads of Department have been briefed and continually promote apprenticeships as a great option for personal development.
We offer the following apprenticeships to existing and prospective team members:
Hospitality Team Member – Level 2
Hospitality Supervisor – Level 3
Hospitality Manager – Level 4
Commis Chef – Level 2
Chef De Partie – Level 3
HR Support – Level 3
Business Administrator – Level 3
Team Leader – Level 3
Customer service practitioner – Level 2
Customer service specialist – Level 3
Operations / Department Manager – Level 5
All apprentices or team members working towards an apprenticeship qualification will be fully supported by HIT and the People and Operations teams at Chestnut.
If you’re interested in joining us as an apprentice, please use this link to register your interest with our People Team
Both programmes will be built on our commitment to support our high performing supervisors / chefs to the next stage of their career through a structured agenda that is detailed below.
