ABOUT TIME LOYALTY MEMBERSHIP

About Time is our Chestnut loyalty programme that enables members to earn points on purchases of food, drink and accommodation at our participating locations. For every £1 spent, 1 point is accrued. When the 500 point threshold is reached £10 in account currency is automatically added to the member's loyalty account. Currency rewards expire after 12 months if not redeemed.
To join About Time loyalty, members must be residents of the United Kingdom and over 18 years old. We will not be able to communicate with any guests under the age of 18 until they reach the appropriate age of consent. To sign up for a membership guests must do so online at www.chestnutgroup.co.uk/about-time-loyalty Points can only be redeemed once membership sign up is complete. Special offers, updates, and invitations will only be communicated via marketing emails to loyalty members or via the About Time app; therefore, marketing consent must be given during sign up to receive full member benefits. Without marketing consent, members can still earn points and receive rewards. To receive the £10 birthday reward members must provide their date of birth.
About Time memberships can only be registered in the name of an individual (not a company or a family) and only one membership may be registered in the name of an individual. We do not offer joint memberships.

The Maltings - Introductory Stay Offer
​
About Time members are invited to be among the first to stay at Chestnut’s first Big House, The Maltings in Weybourne. This is an introductory dinner, bed and breakfast stay for the same price as the standard bed and breakfast rate. Dinner is on us up to the value of £35 per guest, food only. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or vouchers. This offer is exclusive to About Time members. To use this reward members must book by 4th August 2024 for stays in August, September and October 2024. This is a pre-pay rate that cannot be refunded. This offer is only available within the specified period. The offer can be accessed by special member promo code sent via email or visible within the offer section of the About Time app. The promo code must be entered when making your booking online or quoted over the phone at point of booking. This offer cannot be issued retrospectively.

Exclusive Loyalty Promotional Codes

About Time members will occasionally be offered exclusive discounts on stays at participating pubs with rooms and Big Houses via promotional codes. These will based on specified rates and the price at the point of booking. These offers and discounted stays will require payment at the point of booking and will be non-refundable. The promotional codes will be time-limited and available on stays on specified calendar periods. ​
£10,000 Prize Draw - Closed Sunday 23rd June 2024
The £10,000 is in-app currency only – there are no cash alternatives. The £10,000 will be redeemable against any food, drink, or stays at Chestnut pubs. It cannot be redeemed all at once. There will be a yearly cap of £2,000 and a maximum spend per visit. It must be spent over a five-year period (2024-2029). Full terms and conditions will be shared with the winner. Anyone who downloads the About Time app will automatically be entered into the draw. To download the app you must be over 18 and you must be UK resident to sign up for this programme as detailed on this page. Therefore all entrants must be over 18 and a UK resident. The winner will be selected at random at the draw closes at midnight on 23rd June 2024.
Using Your About Time Membership
About Time members can earn points and redeem rewards at any participating Chestnut location. Please check your intended destination is a participating location before your visit to avoid disappointment. Newly acquired Chestnut locations may not participate in this loyalty programme initially.
Membership rewards cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer, discount, or privileges. Rewards cannot be redeemed on Mother’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day unless specified; however, points can be earned on transactions/payments made on these days.

Earning Points and Redeeming Rewards
You can earn points for any transaction where payment is made at any participating Chestnut location, over the phone with our central reservations team, or via our room booking system, for room stays and food and drink purchases. Points can only be added when a unique membership number or QR code within the app can be provided when the transaction is made.
Points cannot be added to your account retrospectively. To earn points you must provide your membership number or QR code within the app at the point of payment.
You must have completed the sign up process to be able to earn points. Points cannot be earned against the purchase of gift cards, vouchers, tickets, or experiences. Points cannot be earned against purchases where in app or account reward currency is used as the payment type.
Points have no cash value. Points can only be earned as set out in these terms and conditions. Points are personal to the named member of the membership. Only one member can use their loyalty number or QR code to earn points in any one transaction. Points cannot be pooled or shared with other members or transferred to other members.
Rewards can only be redeemed once. Each reward has its own terms and conditions for redemption and its own expiry date. Reward expiry dates cannot be extended, and rewards cannot be reinstated.

If you sign up to About Time in your birthday period, your birthday reward can take up to 24 hours to appear in your account.

In app rewards and currency can only be redeemed against food and drink during your visit or stay. In-app currency cannot be redeemed against stays. Stay rewards will be delivered in the for of gift vouchers or discount codes.
Platinum Loyalty Members
Members are rewarded with the Platinum membership when their membership lifetime spend reaches £10,000 or they are awarded this level at our discretion. To retain this membership level members must spend £5,000 or more in a 12 month period.
Platinum loyalty members receive a 10% discount on purchases of food or drink up to the discount value of £1,000 in a single transaction. Platinum members must present their membership number or in app QR code to receive this discount. Platinum members also benefit from all loyalty rewards and offers. Membership levels are reviewed regularly. Discounts and points can not be awarded retrospectively.
This discount cannot be shared with other guests or used when purchasing gift vouchers or gift cards, or when purchasing tickets or experiences. This discount cannot be used on Mother’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, voucher, or privilege. We reserve the right to request to see identification alongside any membership number and or in app QR code.

Third Party Exclusions
Any reservations made via a third party booking engines will not be eligible to earn points. Only reservations made directly with us on our websites or over the phone will be rewarded with points.
Participating Locations
All Chestnut pubs with rooms participate in the About Time loyalty programme. Locations currently not participating include The Old Bridge in Huntingdon, Le Strange Arms and The Mariner.
Expiry and Cancellation
All rewards, discounts, promotions and offers will have individual expiry dates that cannot be extended or reinstated. If a membership is inactive for a consecutive 12-month period we reserve the right to remove all points, rewards, privileges, and discounts.
We reserve the right to withdraw or change our loyalty programme at any time. This includes changes to how points are earned, how rewards are issued, what rewards are, and our processes. Members can cancel their membership at any time. If a membership is cancelled all points and rewards will be forfeited.
We may, on notifying you, forfeit all accrued points and rewards and/or suspend your right to collect points, redeem rewards and discounts, if you are in breach of these terms and conditions, if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that you are engaged in fraudulent or other criminal activities relating to us or your membership or if you supply false or misleading information to us.
Loss, theft or damage
If you lose your card, phone or have reason to believe someone else has access to or has used your card or membership account, you must let us know immediately for us to freeze your membership. Any rewards claimed through theft, fraudulent use or an unauthorised user will be lost.

Compensation
Points, rewards, and discounts earned through using your About Time membership are not covered by any compensation scheme.
Data protection and privacy

While registering to become a member through our website, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name, address, and contact details. We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is kept secure against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, or destruction. The Privacy Policy will apply whenever you provide us with personal information.
Liability of Chestnut

Chestnut shall not be held liable for any default resulting directly or indirectly from any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to, failure of network services and failure of data processing systems.

Variation
​
We reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of the About Time loyalty program from time to time and at any time, or to terminate the About Time loyalty program (and therefore your membership) on reasonable notice. You should check this page of the website from time to time to take note of any changes we make, as they are binding on you from the date that we make them.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by English law
