Cancellation policy

 

We understand that things don’t go always to plan, particularly in the current climate, but as Christmas is such a busy time of year for us, we would appreciate that if you need to make an amendment to your booking that you let us know as soon as possible. We have relaxed our terms and conditions this year and will always try to accommodate a change in plan as much as we can.

In order to protect our business we still need to have a clear cancellation policy in place, so please read the below terms and conditions carefully before you book.

 

2020 Terms and Conditions – Bookings from 27th Nov-23rd Dec

To confirm your table with us this festive period, we will ask for credit card details to secure the booking. Rest assured your card details will be held securely and no charge will be made to secure your reservation.

 

Cancellations;

Should you need to cancel your reservation, we require at least 72 hrs notice. If you do not notify us of a cancellation within 72 hours of your booking, there will be an automatic charge of £10 per person to the card details provided.

 

Amendment to numbers;

Should the numbers in your party decrease, at least 48 hours’ notice is required. Failure to inform us of a decrease in numbers will result in all booked meals being charged for on the day.

 

Pub closure;

If for any reason we are forced to close any of our properties on the date of your booking, the cancellation policy will be null and void and no payments will be taken

To confirm your Christmas lunch/dinner with us this year, we will ask for credit card details to secure the booking. Rest assured your card details will be held securely and no charge will be made to secure your reservation.

 

Cancellations;

Should you need to cancel your reservation, we require at least 21 days notice. If you do not notify us of a cancellation within 21 days of your booking, there will be an automatic charge of 50% of the full amount to the card details provided. For any cancellations 7 days before the booking date, full payment will be taken.

 

Amendment to numbers;

Should the numbers in your party decrease, at least 21 days are required. Failure to inform us of a decrease in numbers will result in all booked meals being charged for on the day.

 

Pub closure;

If for any reason we are forced to close any of our properties on the date of your booking, the cancellation policy will be null and void and no payments will be taken

Room Cancellation Policy

 

Room bookings can be cancelled or transferred up to 48hrs prior to arrival with no charge, however rates may differ between dates if your booking is transferred.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking within 48hrs of arrival due to you or a member of your household testing positive for COVID-19, we can cancel your booking or transfer your booking to another suitable date with no charge, however rates may differ between dates.

Any cancellations or amendments within 48hrs of arrival that are not as a direct result of COVID-19, will result in our retaining the charge for the first night of your stay.

If we are forced to close a our rooms due to regional or national COVID-19 restrictions, bookings will be transferred to a later date or cancelled at no charge.

 

Christmas Room Bookings Deposits & Cancellation Policy

 

All Christmas room booking require a deposit of 50% of the overall cost. Full Payment must be received by the 15th of December.

Room bookings can be cancelled or transferred up to the 15th of December with no charge, however rates may differ between dates if your booking is transferred.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking within before the 15th of December due to you or a member of your household testing positive for COVID-19, we can cancel your booking or transfer your booking to another suitable date with no charge, however rates may differ between dates.

Any cancellations or amendments after the 15th of December that are not as a direct result of you or a member of your household testing positive for COVID-19, will result in our retaining the charge for your stay. For cancellations or amendments made to your booking after the 15th of December that are a direct result of you or a member of your household testing positive for COVID-19 we ask that you send us a copy of the positive test result and a full refund will be paid to you within 14 days.

If we are forced to close our rooms due to regional or national COVID-19 restrictions, bookings will be transferred to a later date or cancelled at no charge.

Black Friday Vouchers – Terms and Conditions

Winter Stay Vouchers

 

Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, Sandy & Muddy Paws, Lazy Sundays, Romantic Stay & Rambler’s Retreat

 

Valid from 2nd January 2021 to 31st March 2021. This voucher can be redeemed at the stated Chestnut property within the stated validity dates. Vouchers cannot be redeemed before the validation date or after the expiry date.  On premium calendar dates there may be an additional charge, please see Chestnut premium calendar dates. This voucher can only be redeemed on nights of the week stated on the voucher. This voucher can only be redeemed against the room category or room name stated on the voucher. Room upgrades are available at point of voucher purchase for an additional fee. Upgrades when booking are available at an additional fee, subject to availability. The discount attached to this voucher is based on the average room rate for this stated validity period. Room rates will fluctuate during this period without bearing on this voucher. Redemption of this voucher is subject to availability on your chosen dates. Vouchers must be declared at point of booking. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for goods, cash, or vouchers. Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. Photocopies of vouchers cannot be accepted. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any special promotions, offers, discount tokens, coupons, or discount cards. Club Chestnut points can be redeemed at point of payment at the end of your visit.

Spring Stay Vouchers

Black Friday Direct Book Offer

 

50% off our Bed and Breakfast Rate from 2nd January 2021 to the 28th of February 2021

 

Discounted stays are bookable online via our website using a secret code from Tuesday the 24th of November until Friday 27th of December. From Friday the 27th of November this offer is available to book via our website without a secret code until Tuesday the 1st of December. This offer is available on bed and breakfast reservations during the Chestnut Black Friday Sale for stays from the 2nd of January 2021 to the 28th of February 2021. If a room booked on this offer is affected by government restrictions in our region for 14 days or more, the offer can be transferred to January and February 2022. Club Chestnut points can be redeemed at point of payment at the end of your visit.

Voucher Extensions Due to Covid-19

If you are unable to redeem your Black Friday 2020 gift voucher during the three-month validity period due to the governments tiering system resulting in the closure of our property for 28 days or more, we will extend the voucher to the same period in 2022. This can be actioned by contacting our reservations team via reservations@chestnutgroup.co.uk with your voucher code before the vouchers stated expiry date. This excludes all monetary vouchers.
