We understand that things don’t always go to plan, and we will always try to accommodate a change of plan as much as we can. We hope that our terms and conditions offer clarity and transparency in the way we manage our reservations for our overnight guests, guests dining with us and large groups or events. Please ensure you take a moment to read, in full, our terms and conditions below.

COVID-19

 

If you need to cancel or amend your booking within 48hrs of arrival due to you or a member of your household testing positive for COVID-19, we can cancel your booking or transfer your booking to another date with no charge, however rates may differ between dates, and this will be subject to availability. 

Any cancellations or amendments within 48hrs of arrival that are not as a direct result of COVID-19, will result in our retaining the charge for the first night of your stay.

If we are forced to close our rooms due to regional or national COVID-19 restrictions, bookings will be transferred to a later date or cancelled at no charge.

JANUARY SALE 2022 - CLUB CHESTNUT OFFER

Throughout January 2022 Club Chestnut members can receive half price meals for themselves and one guest, up to the value of £10 per meal. Available Monday to Thursday (please check opening times for your Chestnut destination as some of our pubs are open Wed to Sun). To redeem this discount a team member must be presented with a Club Chestnut card or QR code on arrival. This offer can not be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount. The offer is only available for a Club Chestnut member and one guest. This offer is not available on drinks or service. This offer is not available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. 

DINNER ON US 2022

This package  is available across all Chestnut inns and includes a food allocation or set menu on the first night of the two night stay offer. Drinks are not included. Breakfast is included each morning. This offer is available on stays between the 2nd of January 2022 and the 19th of February 2022. Excludes 11th to 14th Feb. Payment in full will be taken 48 hours prior to arrival. If you would like to cancel your booking, we have a 48-hour notice policy. All our packages are subject to availability. Please check the property specific terms and conditions for food allocation amounts and set menus as this may vary.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE 2021

All stays booked using our Black Friday direct book sale offer are non-refundable or transferrable. and subject to availability This offer can be booked via our website with a secret code or over the phone with our Central Reservations team during our Black Friday sale. This is a bed and breakfast offer that is available for stays from 2nd January 2022 to 31st March 2022. This offer cannot be used alongside any other special promotions, offers, discounts, coupons or cards. This offer excludes Saturdays, Valentine's weekend (and race days and Tattersalls sales dates at Newmarket for The Packhorse Inn and Three Blackbirds). In addition to the above: The Feathers direct book offer is available from the 2nd January 2022 to the 28th of February 2022, Sunday to Thursday. The Globe direct book offer will not be available in February 2022 due to a planned closure.

All Black Friday sale vouchers are redeemable on specified room category only and subject to availability. Vouchers must be declared at point of booking. Cannot be refunded or exchanged for goods, cash, or vouchers. The Black Friday sale vouchers have a valid from date and expiration date that will be stated on the voucher and cannot be used before or after that date. Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any special promotions, discount tokens, coupons, or cards. Black Friday sale vouchers exclude New Year’s Eve, Valentine's weekend, Saturdays in December, school holidays and race days and Tattersalls sales dates at Newmarket for The Packhorse Inn and Three Blackbirds. These vouchers are valid from 1st December 2021 to the 31st of May 2022. Please note, The Globe vouchers will exclude February 2022 due to a planned closure.

If an intended purchase is for a higher amount than the face value of the voucher(s), the difference can be made up with a credit card payment. If it is less, then change cannot be given. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any special promotions, discount tokens, coupons, or cards. CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS FOR FESTIVE MENU & NYE 2021

 

​Festive menus will be available at all Chestnut pubs, inns and restaurants between the 20th of November and the 23rd of December. All table reservations dining from our festive menus will be required to provide a £10 deposit per guest. We do not take provisional bookings or hold dates. Once the deposit is received your reservation is secure. The total deposit amount will be deducted from the final bill.

 

On receiving the full deposit amount a pre-order link will be sent to the lead guest to complete. This will be an online form and copy of the pre-order will automatically be emailed to the lead guest. Pre-orders must be received a minimum of 7 days in advance of the booking. Please note that all guests in the party must dine from festive menu.

 

Changes to guest numbers can be made up to 7 days prior to the reservation date and additional deposits will be taken or refunded. Deposits will be retained when cancellations are made within the 7 days of the of the reservation date.

 

Group bookings of 20+

Large party bookings for 20 or more guests will be subject to additional terms and conditions. This will be discussed and sent separately by our event co-ordinator or a member of our management team.

 

All New Year’s Eve table reservations across all Chestnut pubs, inns, and restaurants, will require a £10 deposit per guest. The total deposit will be deducted from the final bill. For large group bookings the lead guest will be contacted to arrange a pre-order to be completed a minimum of 7 days in advance of New Year’s Eve.

 

OVERNIGHT STAY RESERVATIONS

 

Once you have made your reservation at one of our inns you will receive a booking confirmation by email. This will detail your stay and highlight any inclusions and our policies. 

 

All reservations will be charged in full 48 hours prior to arrival. This charge will be made to the payment card that is supplied at point of booking. 

 

Any cancellations or amendments can be made to reservations up to 48 hours before arrival date (12pm). For any cancellations made after this time, the full payment for the first night of the stay will be retained. Any amendments to reservations within the 48 hours prior to arrival may be subject to additional charges. 

 

Transfers to alternative dates or bedroom category can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival date, subject to availability. These will be subject to rate changes.

 

Large accommodation reservations of four bedrooms or more will require a non-refundable deposit. Any cancellations for large accommodation reservations can be made up to 14 days before the arrival date. Any cancellations or amendments made within the 14 days prior to arrival date may be subject to additional charges. 

 

During our peak trading periods any cancellations or amendments to reservations can be made up to 14 days before arrival date. For any cancellations made after this time, full payment for the first night of the reservation will be charged. This charge will be made to the payment card that is supplied at point of booking. Any amendments to reservations within the 14 days prior to arrival date may be subject to additional charges.

 

Peak trading dates include all bank holiday weekends, the festive season (the full month of December), Easter weekend and Mother’s Day weekend. In additions to these are specific dates at some of our inns. 

 

These include:

 

All Tattersalls Sale dates and Newmarket Racecourse meetings for reservations at The Packhorse Inn and The Three Blackbirds.

 

School holiday dates for reservations at The Globe, The Ship and The Westleton Crown.

The Wells Carnival at The Globe.

 

The Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre for reservations at The Northgate.

 

There will be a fee for any room keys that are lost during the stay.

 

DOGS OVERNIGHT STAYS

 

We have designated dog-friendly bedrooms across our inns, with the exception of The Northgate (this is due to our restaurant and bar not being an appropriate environment due to size and style of the building). 

 

We charge £25 per stay when a dog guest(s) stays overnight. We provide one bed, one bowl and a snack. 

 

 

THIRD PARTY RESERVATIONS

 

We work with a few third-party booking agents like Booking.com and Expedia. All reservations made via third parties do not include breakfast, unless specifically stated. Breakfast can be added at check in at the price of £15 per guest.

 

Any cancellations, refunds or amendments to reservations made via third parties can only be made directly with the third party. We cannot action cancellations, refunds or amend any reservations made via third party booking agents. 

 

TABLE RESERVATIONS FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS

 

Each of our inns run popular restaurants that are enjoyed by both residents and non-residents. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you make your table reservation in advance of your arrival to avoid disappointment. Table reservations can be requested at point of booking online or over the phone. In addition to this, a booking link will be sent to you in your pre-stay email reminding you of your upcoming reservation details.

 

PACKAGES AND OFFERS

 

All packages and offers across Chestnut inns are subject to availability and specific exclusion dates. All packages will include a food allocation for either lunch or dinner – these allocations exclude drinks. For food allocations and other inclusions please visit the specific inn’s website, as these will vary by inn and package.
