May Bank Holiday – Monday 4th May
Fakenham Racecourse
The May Bank Holiday is a time when Norfolk comes into its own, and Norfolk National Raceday at Fakenham Racecourse is one of the occasions that brings it all together. This year, we’re pleased to be part of it as headline partner, supporting a day that reflects the character of the county, from racing and food to community.

Across the afternoon, the racecard centres around the Norfolk National, alongside two further races. There’s plenty to follow on the track afterwards, including the Mascot Race in front of the grandstand. Beyond the racing, the day opens out into local food and drink, live music from The Travelling Chandeliers, and the Norfolk Collective picnic marquee offers a more relaxed space to gather, while a tug-of-war between local rugby clubs adds something a little different between races. Races throughout the day are dedicated to charities including Norfolk Community Foundation, Norfolk Wildlife Trust and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Families are welcome, with children under 18 able to attend free when accompanied by an adult, and dogs are welcome too, provided they’re kept on a lead.
