Easter is one of the best times to get out and explore, with longer days, spring colour starting to show and plenty to keep little'ns entertained. From egg hunts and nature trails to hands-on activities and animal encounters, there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of the Easter holidays.




Norfolk


Blickling Estate Easter Trail

21st March - 13th April

The gardens and parkland at Blickling come alive in spring with daffodils and blossom. Families can follow a nature-inspired Easter trail through the estate before collecting a chocolate reward. Plus, they host a weekly organised dog walk.


Easter Egg-stravaganza at Pensthorpe

28th March - 6th April

With nature themed surprises and colourful decorations, Pensthorpe is Norfolk's first Easter Garden. Plus, disover their new play area, head to a flamingo talk or try your hand at pond dipping.


BeWILDerwood Adventures

Late March - April

A favourite for families visiting North Norfolk. Expect storytelling, craft sessions and Easter themed activities alongside the park’s famous treehouses, slides and woodland play trails.

Holkham Easter Garden

3rd - 6th April

Explore the parkland and walled garden at Holkham on a family-friendly Easter trail and expect to meet cute animals, be wowed by a magician, and leave with a chocolate treat.


Roarr! Dinosaur Park Easter Eggspedition

28th March - 13th April

A fun, dinosaur-themed Easter adventure with interactive trails, games and plenty of outdoor play. Ideal for younger families looking for something a little different this Easter.


Wells Maltings Easter Activities

From drama workshops for kids to a screening of Wicked: For Good, Wells Maltings is a good option for a relaxed, creative Easter outing just a short walk from The Globe.



Suffolk


Steam & Easter Celebrations

5th April - 6th April

The Mid Suffolk Light Railway hosts its annual Easter steam gala with vintage trains, historic engines and family activities. It’s a nostalgic day out for train enthusiasts and families alike, plus the USAAF 34th Bomb Group’s Museum will be open, just down the road, throughout the weekend too.


Easter Adventure Quest at Framlingham Castle

5th - 27th April

Families can explore the castle walls while solving clues and puzzles in this Easter-themed adventure. Traditional games and chocolate rewards make it a popular spring outing. Plus, it's just a half hour drive to the coast, so why not make a day of it and head onto The Ship for a spot of lunch and beach walk.


Ickworth Estate Spring Trail

21st March - 12th April

Head out on a gentle spring walk through parkland and gardens, with activity stations along the way for younger visitors. Expect daffodils, wildlife and wide views across the Suffolk countryside, a short drive from The Weeping Willow in Barrow.



Easter Paw-ty at the National Horseracing Museum

3rd April

A fun, family-friendly event with bouncy castle, games and pet portraits - it’s a celebration of a man's best friend - dogs - and your pooch is welcomed too. Make a day of it by picking up a pass to explore the museum too and stopping by The Packhorse Inn for lunch.


Africa Alive! Great EGGS-pedition

28th March - 13th April

Follow an Easter-themed trail around the wildlife park while spotting animals from across Africa. And be sure to track down six African eggs too! The best part? Kids go free!


Sutton Hoo Easter Adventure Trail

21st March - 12th April

Explore one of Suffolk’s most famous historic sites with a seasonal Easter trail through woodland and open landscapes, with activities designed for younger visitors. Make the day last a little longer with dinner or a stay at The Westleton Crown, on the Suffolk coast, afterwards.

Medieval Jousting at Hedingham Castle

5th & 6th April

Step back in time with dramatic jousting displays set against the backdrop of a Norman keep. As well as two jousting displays, visitors can also try archery, watch birds of prey and explore the castle grounds.


Layer Marney Tower Easter Games

A traditional Easter celebration with egg hunts, races and garden games set within the grounds of this historic Tudor tower.


Audley End Miniature Railway Easter Special

Hop into spring charming Easter experience near The Eight Bells, Saffron Walden, featuring a woodland train ride, Easter egg hunt and themed activities for younger children.



Colchester Zoo Easter Trail

RHS Garden Hyde Hall Easter Trail

Explore the gardens as they come into bloom with a family-friendly Easter trail. Become a mini-detective and help uncover the case of the missing Easter bunny with a detective pack and chocolate reward.


Audley End House Easter Adventure Quest

Explore the historic grounds while solving clues and puzzles on a themed Easter trail, perfect for families visiting near Saffron Walden.



Cambridgeshire


Easter Punt & Hunt on the River Cam

5th - 21st April

A family friendly twist on the classic Cambridge punt. Guests follow clues and puzzles while floating along the historic college backs before continuing the hunt through the city.


Hamerton Zoo Park Easter Trail

Late March - April

From up-close animal encounters and daily feeding sessions to the Express Train Ride, join Hamerton Zoo this Easter and expect an Easter trail alongside the usual fun of the zoo.



Easter Adventurs at Wimpole Hall

Late March - April

One of the region’s most popular Easter trails, set across parkland and gardens with interactive activities and a chocolate reward at the end, be sure to head out on Wimpole's Easter egg hunt on a sunny spring day and follow up with lunch at The Carpenters Arms.


Shepreth Wildlife Park Easter Trail

3rd - 6th April

A relaxed, family-friendly trail through the wildlife park with plenty of animals to spot along the way. Be sure to head to one of their daily keeper talks too and find out more about animals such as the red panda, Sumatran tiger and lemurs.
